Summary
👤
SeniorJesse Anderson is a geospatial data scientist and software craftsman with 13 years of experience building predictive models, data pipelines, and full-stack web mapping applications focused on ecosystems, wildlife, and land management. As owner of Numbers and Strings LLC and former lead scientist at Conservation Science Partners, he blends practical field experience with cloud-enabled geospatial engineering to turn satellite imagery and ground data into actionable insights. He codes primarily in Python, JavaScript, and R, shipping nimble, cost-effective apps that serve maps, graphs, and reports for conservation and land-use decision making. Jesse’s work spans regional to national-scale modeling—habitat, connectivity, and land-cover—and often automates large-scale spatial workflows that save time and improve reproducibility. Based in Flagstaff, AZ, he positions himself as a “geospatial free agent,” pairing scientific rigor with product-minded delivery for NGOs, agencies, and private clients. An understated strength is his ability to translate complex ecological models into clear, interactive tools that stakeholders can use directly.
