Senior Software Engineer at Equifax
Des Moines, Iowa, United States
Summary
🤩
RockstarJesse Horne is a Senior Software Engineer based in Des Moines with 13 years of experience building scalable backend systems across startups and enterprise teams. He has deep hands-on expertise in Go, Python, Ruby, and PHP, and a strong track record modernizing infrastructure with Terraform and cloud-native platforms on AWS and GCP. Jesse has driven significant scalability wins—migrating ML metadata generation from a single EC2 into a serverless Lambda architecture—and designed production microservices for payments, real-time legislative streaming, and video conferencing. As a founding engineer at Ameelio and a consultant for multiple companies, he blends product-facing engineering with pragmatic architecture and operational ownership. He’s comfortable across the full backend stack (APIs, eventing, serverless, storage) and frequently moves systems from prototype to high-throughput production. Colleagues rely on him for reliable delivery and for turning messy domain requirements into maintainable, scalable services.
