Summary
👤
SeniorJiahao Liu is a Staff Engineer with 14 years of experience building mobile products across Europe and the Middle East, currently driving Glovo Prime subscription features in Growth. He combines deep Android expertise (12+ years) with recent Flutter experience, having led key projects that cut app start time, implemented video UX, and defined core BDUI components. Previously he delivered fintech features at talabat as the lead mobile developer—BNPL, a bank card partnership with ADCB, and a successful Wallet-as-toggle migration to Flutter. His background includes high-impact roles at Emirates, Careem and dubizzle where he rebuilt architectures, launched major UI revamps and owned loyalty program features on Android. Trained in distributed systems (KTH) and computer science (UPM), he focuses on shipping measurable product outcomes while mentoring engineers and improving code quality. Less obvious: he repeatedly moves between hands-on engineering and technical leadership, thriving in cross-functional teams that turn complex payments and subscription ideas into polished mobile experiences.
