Senior🎓
Top SchoolJiaxin Zhang is a Senior NLP Researcher based in London with eight years’ experience blending deep learning and multi-modal approaches to push AI numerical reasoning toward human-level performance. With a PhD from the University of Strathclyde and a Master’s from Sheffield, Jiaxin has moved between academia and industry—building production chatbots at TCL using a hybrid retrieval + Seq2Seq design and now researching multi-modal numerical reasoning at Tencent. Their work spans practical system engineering (fast retrieval, BERT-based embeddings, rule-based indexing) and foundational research in multi-modal learning, reflecting a rare combination of deployment experience and theoretical depth. Colleagues describe them as driven by a mission to “make the world a better place,” and they bring that conviction to projects that aim to make AI both more capable and more useful.
