Top SchoolJiayi Li is an applied scientist and PhD researcher with 10 years of experience building multi-agent ML systems that blend deep learning, reinforcement learning, and game-theoretic incentive design to enforce hard system constraints. Based in San Francisco, Jiayi has driven research-to-product work at Amazon, Microsoft Research, and now Uber, improving state-of-the-art results in decentralized voltage control, congestion pricing, and energy price forecasting. She designs realistic simulation environments to learn distributed policies and has applied LLMs to recommender and RL settings, showing that language-model feedback can correlate with and help learn value functions. Her work uniquely bridges rigorous theoretical analysis (e.g., proving equilibrium conditions for pricing schemes) with scalable empirical evaluation in safety- and fairness-critical infrastructure.
