Jihoon Bang is a senior technology executive with over 25 years in software and more than a decade focused on automotive software, currently leading Samsung’s SW Innovation and Automotive AP Software efforts. He designs and executes global software strategies for IVI, central computing and software-defined vehicles, while driving compliance with ASPICE, ISO26262 and ISO21434. Known for building high-performing distributed teams across Korea, India, China and Europe, he has shepherded Exynos NPU/NN and CV SDKs to top MLPerf rankings and operationalized data-driven SW execution. Jihoon blends deep hardware and embedded systems roots—FPGA, DSP and camera stacks—with modern AI enablement, and he’s actively exploring generative AI to enhance driving experience and road safety. An alumnus of Seoul National University and Carnegie Mellon’s MS program, he uniquely bridges low-level engineering rigor with strategic product and partner ecosystems.
