Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJill Pelavin is a Senior Software Engineer with two decades of hands-on experience designing and implementing rich JavaScript and TypeScript user interfaces, currently building TypeScript/React front ends at Aliro. She specializes in complex, data-heavy UI features—filters, parser/function builders, and interactive tables—that turn large datasets into intuitive workflows and require minimal hand-holding from users. Known for rapidly internalizing codebases, she can often diagnose and reason about bugs without touching the code, which accelerates debugging and design iterations. Jill has led small teams and mentored junior engineers while driving maintainable, object-oriented architectures that survive heavy refactoring. Her background spans big data companies and open-source contributions to enterprise tooling, and she pairs UI polish with pragmatic engineering decisions informed by an MIT CS education. An underrated strength is her knack for designing UI interactions that anticipate user intent—auto-selects, streamlined widgets, and transparent feedback—making complex systems feel simple.
