Top SchoolJim Gutenkauf is a seasoned communications and documentation leader with 8+ years of experience in technical roles and a career spanning enterprise software, aerospace, and cloud services. He currently contributes to AWS as a Senior Technical Writer on Amazon Redshift while running Jim Creek Farms, where he’s applied project management and ecological curiosity to restore a clear-cut forest into a recovering property. Previously a Sr. Principal Information Developer at Oracle, Jim built PeopleSoft curriculum and technical training programs that scaled across large organizations. His background blends storytelling, graphic design, and hands-on production—skills honed at Raytheon and Hughes where he managed marketing communications, proposals, and multimedia teams. Based in Marysville, Washington, he pairs organizational management and communication training with practical experience shipping complex documentation for mission-critical platforms. Colleagues know him for translating technical complexity into clear, teachable content and for an uncommon side pursuit of forestry recovery that informs his systems-thinking approach.
