Senior🎓
Top SchoolJim Mccoy is a seasoned infrastructure and security leader with over two decades of experience designing, operating, and scaling high-risk distributed systems for companies from startups to hyperscale platforms. Currently Director of Infrastructure at a crypto fintech, he combines deep Unix roots and hands-on SRE/DevOps expertise with a strong focus on automation, supply-chain security, and FinOps across multi-cloud environments. He has led engineering teams through rapid growth, delivered encrypted execution and authenticated-build solutions, and driven regulatory-ready controls for high-threat fintech operations. A founder who built an enterprise-grade edge security appliance with ML-based anomaly detection, Jim pairs product and manufacturing experience with production-hardened cloud and Kubernetes operations. He brings an unusually broad toolkit—packet-level forensics to strategic compliance—and the kind of pragmatic creativity that keeps him off the on-call rota.
