Summary
🤩
RockstarJin Choi is a product-focused Senior Software Engineer II with 10 years of experience building performant, reliable full-stack applications, specializing in React and increasingly contributing on the backend with Golang, Node.js, and Python. At SpotOn he drove measurable improvements—cutting LCP by 33%, slashing client-side rerenders and observability costs, and implementing MongoDB migrations and Golang APIs—while also serving as Incident Commander and mentoring junior engineers. He emphasizes pragmatic front-end engineering: component libraries, accessibility, testing, and optimization techniques that reduce bundle size and runtime errors. Based in Las Vegas, Jin pairs a dual academic background in electrical engineering and economics with Codesmith full‑stack training, and outside work channels competitive focus from golf and music into disciplined, customer-oriented delivery.
