Top SchoolJing Wu is a Senior Software Engineer at Google with a decade of experience bridging machine learning, information retrieval, and high-performance parallel computing. He holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering and has a strong research background in index compression for multi-version documents and GPU-accelerated scientific computing using CUDA. His work spans production software roles at Google and Intel and deep research projects at University of Maryland optimizing large 3D FFTs and Poisson solvers on Tesla and Fermi architectures. Jing combines systems-level performance tuning with algorithmic insight, delivering space- and compute-efficient solutions (including a 30% index compression gain in research). Based in San Jose, he brings both academic rigor and industry-scale engineering to ML and HPC challenges. An uncommon strength is his ability to translate GPU research optimizations into practical, production-ready implementations.
