Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJiri Crispeyn is a Staff Software Engineer based in Belgium with 11 years of experience designing and scaling React Native applications and mobile architectures for high-growth products. Currently at Shopify, he has driven retail-focused engineering efforts across merchandising, selling strategies, and market expansion while previously leading mobile engineering at Aaqua where he scaled teams to 40+ engineers. He specializes in advanced TypeScript, GraphQL (Apollo Federation), performant CI/CD (Nx, CircleCI, Fastlane) and reusable design systems, often marrying native playback solutions with cross-platform JS. Jiri is equally comfortable mentoring teams, improving developer experience, and shipping engineering primitives like colocated GraphQL fragments and component libraries. A practical systems thinker, he repeatedly reduces operational costs and iteration time (e.g., cutting CI pipeline costs >50%) while maintaining high test coverage and release reliability. Outside core duties he contributes to bridging native SDKs to JavaScript and champions developer practices that accelerate large mobile orgs.
