Top SchoolJiuqiang Tang is a Staff Software Engineer in Mountain View with nine years of experience building and shipping production ML systems at Google, specializing in on-device perception and generative models. He led development and cross-industry deployments for Core ML and Gemini Nano across heterogeneous NPUs, and drove state-of-the-art mobile inference for diffusion and audio models—work showcased at CVPR 2023 and ICASSP 2024. Earlier, he originated and scaled MediaPipe and MediaPipe Tasks, enabling millions of monthly installs and broad open-source adoption while powering features across Google Photos, YouTube Shorts, and Meet. His background in computer music and real-time gesture recognition informs a practical focus on low-latency, resource-efficient ML for edge devices. Colleagues know him for turning research-grade algorithms into production pipelines that run on constrained hardware and for bridging partnerships across chip vendors and product teams.
