Top SchoolJixuan Wang is a Senior-ish Software Engineer based in San Francisco with 11 years of experience building backend services and shipping production systems at scale. A Brown CS graduate with a 3.97 GPA, he has applied strong technical foundations across roles at Twitch and Discord, focusing on backend reliability and platform services. His early research work on the ATLAS Higgs boson search and teaching several CS courses as a TA show a blend of analytical rigor and an ability to explain complex systems. Past internships at Microsoft and TripAdvisor reflect practical experience in debugging low-level issues and building monitoring/data validation tools. Known for “doing all sorts of cool shit,” he pairs deep hands-on coding with pragmatic problem solving in high-traffic, user-facing environments. Colleagues would note both his breadth across systems and an uncommon combination of academic pedigree and production-focused impact.
