Top SchoolJó Bitsch is a Principal Software Engineer and technology leader with 14+ years of experience bridging industrial IoT, energy systems, medical informatics, and security engineering. He combines hands-on development—Linux kernel/bootloader, system services, Javacard applets, secure element personalization—and cryptographic auditing for PKI and signature products with strategic project and product management. He has led cross-functional teams of up to 10 engineers, introduced CI/CD, TDD and incident response practices, and driven deployments from monthly to multiple daily releases. An academic native with a Dr. in Computer Science and 50+ peer-reviewed publications, he frequently translates research into deployed solutions across EU-funded and industrial projects. Currently consulting on FIDO2/secure element integrations while driving IoT security and orchestration work at Utimaco, he blends deep protocol-level expertise with pragmatic delivery. Colleagues value his rare mix of formal security certification experience (IEC62443, MDR) and prolific mentorship—30+ advised theses—bringing rigor to product teams.
