Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoabe Da Luz is a Senior Software Engineer based in São Paulo with 13 years of experience building scalable web and distributed systems across Python, PHP and JavaScript ecosystems. He has driven large platform transformations—splitting legacy monoliths into microservices and modernizing high-traffic e-commerce APIs at Magalu—and now contributes to Shippo’s backend architecture. Comfortable across full-stack, mobile hybrid apps and APIs, he combines pragmatic engineering (TDD, CI, code reviews) with a curiosity for research-driven experimentation. His background spans academia and industry—from learning platforms and data-mining projects to IoT and wearable integrations—giving him a strong blend of product-focus and systems thinking. Despite a primarily backend trajectory, he has repeatedly led cross-stack refactors, improving both developer velocity and operational resilience.
