Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoakim Ekroos is a Helsinki-based web developer with nine years of professional experience building CMS-driven and React-based web platforms, particularly for news organizations. He started in LAMP-stack ecosystems like Drupal and WordPress, later moving into modern front-end work with React and experimental functional-stack projects using PureScript and Haskell. Comfortable across theme and module development, platform tooling (Composer, Drush, Platform.sh) and component-driven workflows (Storybook), he pairs technical problem-solving with a strong eye for graphic design and UX gained from close collaboration with designers. His background includes architecting server-side-rendered single-page applications for high-traffic news sites and integrating editorial systems to reduce operational friction. Outside of code he pursues creative outlets—photography, music and film—which inform his tasteful, user-focused interfaces.
