Top SchoolJoakim Wånggren is a Principal Engineer with 13 years of experience designing cloud-native, serverless-first systems and driving cross-team initiatives from Stockholm. He has a strong track record at Schibsted where he led the SPiD/Schibsted Account platform from zero to millions of users, modernizing it with microservices, CI/CD, AWS cost optimizations and infrastructure automation. Equally at home in hands-on development and technical leadership, Joakim combines full-stack proficiency with solution architecture and a pragmatic focus on shipping reliable, maintainable systems. He’s known as a force multiplier who builds engineering culture, takes ownership of ambiguous problems, and steps into projects as a solutions engineer when alignment is needed. His master’s work on PKI-as-a-Service hints at a deeper appreciation for secure, scalable platform design beyond everyday engineering tasks.
