Top SchoolJoan Hernandez is a seasoned mobile software engineer with 11 years of experience specializing in Android development and a track record of shipping impactful product and technical work across startups and scale-ups from Barcelona. He co-founded Droids4Dev and has led major Android initiatives at companies like Badi, Wallapop and Skyscanner, including BDUI implementations that enabled design changes without app releases and marketing integrations that cut time-to-market from weeks to hours. Joan consistently drives engineering improvements—leading testing and Kotlin migrations that halved bug rates and accelerated experimentation cycles—and has hands-on experience across Clean Architecture, Retrofit, Dagger and CI tooling. As a long-time GDG Barcelona organizer he blends community leadership with product-focused engineering, and his background includes refactoring acquired products to support new business models and in-app purchases.
