Top SchoolJoana Almeida is an independent game developer with 10 years of experience designing, programming, and creating art for games, primarily using Unity. She combines hands-on gameplay programming and technical art with hobbyist 3D modeling and illustration, often exploring procedural generation and tabletop RPG-inspired systems. As co-founder and lead programmer at Fly Home Studio and longtime lead of Stories Of Sorcery, she brings both indie product ownership and studio-grade discipline to projects. Her background includes technical art work at Chimera Entertainment and gameplay-focused roles at Nectar Interactive, giving her a strong bridge between code and visual design. Based in Lisbon and holding a master's in Computer and Information Sciences from Instituto Superior Técnico, she’s equally comfortable shipping prototypes, writing about tech, or sketching worldbuilding ideas that seed new game mechanics.
