Summary
👤
SeniorJoanmi Espada is a seasoned software engineering leader and entrepreneur based in Barcelona with over two decades of hands-on experience building products from the dot-com era to modern SaaS and IoT. He has led engineering organizations at scale—shaping technical strategy, delivery, hiring and culture at companies like Picsart, Glovo and Skyscanner—and today drives cross-team engineering for a clinical-trials SaaS at Evinova. Comfortable both as a founder and as a director, he blends deep full‑stack technical knowledge (from C#/Java to React, Node and cloud platforms) with strong people management and process design. Joanmi is known for mentoring the next generation of engineering managers, creating decision-making frameworks, and protecting engineering focus to deliver measurable outcomes. His entrepreneurial track record includes founding startups and marketplaces, which gives him a pragmatic product-first perspective when aligning roadmaps and technical trade-offs. Outside org charts, he quietly prioritizes learning from every engineer he meets—his motto is “coding better together.”
