Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJoão Borba is a Tech Lead and Senior Software Engineer from Santa Catarina, Brazil, with five years of hands-on experience designing and operating high-throughput financial systems in Java and the Spring ecosystem. He led architecture and migrations that decoupled monoliths into dedicated services, built the Pix recurring payments engine processing over a million daily transactions, and implemented robust resilience and security patterns like token buckets, idempotence, and circuit breakers. Comfortable across backend and some frontend work, he leverages AWS, Redis, MySQL and non-relational stores to solve real-world scale and compliance challenges. João pairs pragmatic Clean Architecture and simple design patterns with operational thinking—building retry, rate-limit and webhook systems that survive production traffic spikes. He writes about technical problems and maintains a concise, purpose-driven GitHub presence, reflecting a preference for simplicity that delivers measurable impact. Former national-level karate athlete, he brings discipline and team leadership from sport into engineering execution.
