Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoão Gomes is a Lead Product Designer based in Berlin with a decade of experience crafting user-centered digital products across SaaS, e-commerce and IoT. He blends interaction design, UI and design-systems expertise with hands-on web development skills, enabling end-to-end ownership from research to implementation. At Nivoda he leads the design systems guild while shaping next-generation B2C and B2B2C marketplace experiences and supporting hiring for the design function. His background spans startups, agencies and freelancing across Brazil, Canada and Germany, and includes building design systems in Figma and occasional React/Vue coding. Trained in usability engineering and mechatronics, he brings a rare combination of UX rigor and technical empathy to product problems. Off the clock he’s musically minded—an anecdote he jokes about as “Herald III who plays a pretty decent Lich”—which reflects his creative, multidisciplinary approach.
