Top SchoolJoão Mendes is a seasoned software engineering leader with 11 years of experience building and scaling supply-chain products across Ambev/AB InBev, combining hands-on Python/Django roots with product management and large-team leadership. As Director of Software Engineering he drives digital supply portfolios, having led projects that delivered multimillion cost savings, restructured LATAM engineering for the largest supply product, and scaled a product from hundreds to 10K+ users. He pairs strong delivery metrics (top 5% engineering performance, rapid stabilization) with product-focused outcomes like NPS turnarounds and measurable business KPIs. A quick learner with a taste for mathematical rigor, he blends technical depth, product strategy, and people development—having created leadership programs that scaled to 40+ leaders. Based in São Paulo, he balances global engineering stewardship with a practical engineering background and a knack for translating complex operational problems into high-impact software solutions.
