Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoão Nuno is a Lead Consultant and Google Cloud Engineer based in Leuven with 12 years of experience building backend systems, data-driven products, and cloud-native solutions. He combines a formal background in statistics with hands-on expertise in Python and Go to design recommendation engines, scalable web services, and data pipelines for clients like Telefónica. At Devoteam G Cloud he leads cloud engineering engagements, while prior roles included backend leadership and data science positions that bridged research, algorithm development, and production delivery. An Ubuntu power-user who avoids PHP and Microsoft stacks by choice, he’s known for being independent, solution-oriented, and pragmatically humorous — a teammate who brings both technical depth and an easygoing management style. Fluent in Portuguese and English with strong Spanish and working knowledge of Catalan and Italian, he’s comfortable operating across international teams.
