Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoão Rosa is an engineering manager based in Amsterdam with a decade of experience building high-throughput, secure backend systems and leading engineering teams. He has a strong academic foundation in communication networks and computer architecture (MEng) and a track record re-architecting identity and authentication systems capable of handling tens of thousands of requests per second. João combines hands-on engineering — from designing multi-tenant SaaS APIs and rate-limiters that reduced credential-stuffing attacks to custom PHP/NodeJS frameworks for global campaigns — with mentorship and on-call incident leadership. At DAZN he discovered and resolved data inconsistencies across millions of users and drove multiple authentication mechanism integrations, and at New10 he now scales that operational experience into management. Known among peers as a “syntax cultist,” he brings both a deep protocol-level understanding and practical product-driven pragmatism to complex systems.
