Summary
👤
SeniorJoão Vieira is a Staff Software Engineer based in Vancouver with over a decade of hands-on experience designing and operating scalable, cloud-native microservices. He combines deep Java and Kotlin expertise with production-grade tooling—Docker, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Redis, Honeycomb—and a strong focus on telemetry, SLOs and Pact contract testing to keep complex systems reliable. At FISPAN he helps platform teams ship developer tooling and maintain core services, and his background ranges from healthcare microservices to automotive mobile integrations and industrial automation. An entrepreneurial builder, he shipped a consumer mobile product end-to-end and contributed to open-source infrastructure work such as adding Auth0 custom text support to a widely referenced Terraform provider. Curious and multidisciplinary, João pairs pragmatic engineering with continuous learning across systems, embedded/mobile, and cloud platforms.
