Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoe Bergeron is a Senior Software Engineer with 12 years of experience building scalable backend systems and infrastructure, currently at Stripe after four years driving core engineering at Valora. An MIT CS graduate with a math minor, he has a track record of turning research-driven ideas into production software—from Javascript JIT feasibility studies for embedded targets to progressive wavelet compression for AUV imaging. At GoDaddy he helped scale a company-wide experimentation platform, demonstrating expertise in reliable, large-scale systems and data-driven feature rollout. He combines academic rigor with hands-on engineering across startups and research institutions, comfortable spanning low-level performance work and high-throughput cloud services. Based in Cambridge, MA, Joe brings a pragmatic curiosity evidenced by early hardware and embedded projects (USGS, CEA) that still inform his approach to systems design and efficiency.
