Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoe Grady is a Senior Software Engineer based in Charlotte with 11 years building financial and SaaS systems that handle real money, primarily using Ruby on Rails and modern front-end frameworks. He has a track record of delivering production-grade features—CCPA compliance, automated distributions, and waterfall calculations—across startups and consulting engagements, and currently contributes at Brightside Health. Comfortable across the full stack, Joe combines TDD, automated testing (RSpec, Capybara, Cucumber), and careful production data handling to keep critical financial workflows reliable. He’s also worn entrepreneurial and leadership hats—founding a sports-equipment startup and running a student painting business—bringing practical product instincts and operational discipline to engineering problems. Notably, his experience includes standardizing version-control practices and shipping high-stakes hotfixes under pressure, a strength for teams operating in regulated or money-moving domains.
