Top SchoolJoe Lafiosca is a Senior Engineer and co-founder with over a decade of professional software experience and roots in hobbyist computing dating back to the Apple and Commodore era. Based in Atlanta, they pivoted to full-time JavaScript and AWS work in 2016 and now specializes in React Native and TypeScript for mobile-first products. As CTO of Nuclear Pasta, Joe leads development of Coach, a mobile app aimed at helping small teams learn and improve together, blending product intuition with pragmatic engineering. At Hemlane and previous roles at Quasar Blu and IBM they drove serverless APIs, mobile apps, and integrations, often stepping into hands-on technical rescue when needed. They are an advocate for inclusive teams and amplifying marginalized voices, bringing both entrepreneurial grit and a long history of systems-level problem solving. A Georgia Tech CS alum, Joe combines deep operational experience with an appetite for accessible, team-centered tooling.
