Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoe Zhao is a senior software engineer with 14 years of experience building scalable systems across fintech and embedded platforms, currently shaping trading infrastructure at Hidden Road after earlier engineering roles at Robinhood. Trained at Carnegie Mellon with both BS and MS in ECE, he has deep hands-on experience in data pipelines, distributed testing, and machine-learning-driven diagnostics from internships at Apple and E*TRADE. Joe combines low-level embedded expertise (I2C, firmware testing, visual odometry research) with high-throughput data engineering (Kafka, StreamSets, Elasticsearch), making him effective at bridging hardware-near problems and cloud-scale services. Based in Hangzhou, he pairs academic rigor and teaching experience with a practical focus on operational intelligence and reliability. An intriguing personal touch: his GitHub bio links to fun2ex.com, hinting at a curious, creative side beyond core engineering work.
