Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJoël Gugger is a security-focused CTO and co-founder with 11 years of experience designing secure, privacy-centric software systems and leading technical teams from Switzerland. He combines deep applied cryptography and Rust expertise with practical experience on Bitcoin, Monero, and trustless blockchain protocols, including maintaining a Monero Rust library and initiating Farcaster work. As a hands-on architect and entrepreneur he builds scalable backends, secure execution environments (TPM2/Secure Boot), and modern web and mobile integrations while fostering team growth. His background spans research-driven roles and product delivery—from academic-grade blockchain research and payment channels to production APIs for national services like SwissMetNet. Notably, he blends low-level security engineering with high-level system design, making him equally comfortable in the Linux kernel/firmware space and in leading decentralized protocol implementations. Based in La Neuveville, he brings a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset that turns cryptographic research into usable, privacy-preserving products.
