Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoel Hobson is a senior programmer and controls specialist with 14 years of hands-on experience in building efficiency, industrial automation, and predictive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems. He combines field expertise—VFD commissioning, BAS/DDC platforms, Tridium N4 Advanced certification, Fanuc robot teaching, and EPA 608—with growing software skills in Java and Python to bridge controls and software workflows. His background in mechatronics and electrical systems, earned with honors, fuels a pragmatic approach to commissioning, troubleshooting, and automation integration. Joel has delivered results in roles from plant maintenance to senior application engineering at companies like CBRE, Amazon, and Albireo Energy, often improving HVAC and building performance one air handler at a time. Colleagues rely on him for translating complex instrumentation and networking problems into reliable, maintainable solutions. Outside the obvious certifications, he brings fabrication and precision-measurement experience (welding, TIR indication) that gives him an uncommon mechanical intuition when solving control-system challenges.
