Summary
🤩
RockstarJoel Jucá is a seasoned software engineer from Ceará, Brazil with 12 years of experience building web systems and mentoring engineers and students across startups, consultancies, and education. He brings a polyglot backend focus—Elixir, Go, Ruby and TypeScript—paired with a deep history in PHP/Drupal and front-end stacks, and has shipped production systems for organizations from the Council on Foreign Relations to fintech Stone. Comfortable as both individual contributor and mentor, he taught 50+ students practical CS and professional web development topics, translating that pedagogy into clearer, maintainable code and team growth. Joel’s background stretches from early Flash and interactive web work to modern cloud-native patterns and DevOps tooling, reflecting an ability to evolve technologies while keeping product needs central.
