Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoel Kesler is a Staff Designer and Frontend Developer (UX Engineer) with 12 years of experience blending product design and modern front-end engineering to migrate legacy apps, build design systems, and ship reusable Angular/Figma component libraries. Based in Saskatoon, he has led design systems, onboarding DX, and cross-team collaboration at Vendasta and now Constellation, where he champions Nx monorepo practices and clean API contracts. Joel pairs pragmatic engineering—creating battle-tested editors and automation UIs—with a designer’s eye for scalable UI patterns and documentation. He’s known for mentoring teams, automating developer setup (a script once featured on Hacker News), and turning complex workflows into polished, maintainable front-end products. Outside work he refuels curiosity through rock-climbing, kayaking and creative pastimes like LEGO and photography, which inform his iterative, user-focused approach.
