Top SchoolJoel Wickard is a Senior Systems Architect based in Minneapolis with over a decade of hands-on experience designing and delivering web and data integration solutions across health, finance, and retail domains. At Icario he progressed from Principal Developer to Senior Systems Architect, leading full-stack teams and shaping architecture for health & wellness platforms and the Novu product line. He combines practical engineering—Rails, Backbone, Groovy, SpringBoot, microservices and REST APIs—with project leadership skills in requirements, estimation and agile delivery. Prior roles at U.S. Bank, Target and consulting engagements show a strong track record modernizing legacy Java/JEE systems and building performant APIs. Comfortable switching between deep technical work and stakeholder-facing responsibilities, he also brings operations experience from running his own firm and managing deployments and security policies. Colleagues value his blend of steady technical judgment, mentorship, and curiosity about new technologies.
