Top SchoolJoey Yang is a UX-focused software engineer with 12 years of experience designing and building delightful, user-centered products at scale, currently contributing to Firebase from Oakland. He blends interaction and information architecture with front-end engineering (React, Angular, TypeScript) and has shipped simple, high-impact experiences used by billions. Comfortable as a lone maker or as a leader of large cross-functional teams, he pairs market and user research with hands-on implementation to create measurable business value. A former mechanical engineer and MATLAB expert, Joey brings unusual systems thinking—from robotic pipelines to mobile and web platforms—and a history of open-source contributions across Angular, React, and tooling projects. Off the clock he’s led a college radio station, organized a 100-person joke tech conference, and insists that live music and espresso fuel his creative work.
