Top SchoolJofred Cayabyab is a software engineer based in New York with eight years of hands-on experience building production systems across startups and large tech companies. He has shipped user-facing and internal tooling improvements at Meta and Amazon—work that scaled to tens of thousands of employees and millions of users—and most recently contributes as a SWE at Paces. His background spans backend services, NLP-powered automation, embedded systems, and DevOps improvements, from a language-model classifier that sped at-risk client response to a C-based recovery algorithm for avionics. Jofred combines rapid prototyping with pragmatic refactors that measurably improve performance and developer productivity (e.g., >200% VR loading speed gains, 10x deployer speedups). He’s comfortable across the stack and in cross-functional roles, having led student teams and written production-grade APIs and tooling. Outside core engineering, he has experience applying RPA and computer vision to save manual labor and detect tiny physical motions—an indicator of his curiosity for applied problem solving.
