Senior🎓
Top SchoolJohan Karlsson is a seasoned senior app developer based in Malmö with over 25 years in professional software development and 16 years in senior roles, blending deep embedded C roots with extensive Java expertise across server, mobile and embedded platforms. He has a long track record moving between consultancy and product-focused engineering—most recently at Castra and Softhouse—and has delivered solutions on Java ME, Android and iOS as well as server-side Java for industrial clients like Sandvik. Comfortable across the full stack of constrained devices to backend services, Johan often acts as the pragmatic bridge between legacy embedded systems and modern mobile/cloud architectures. Notably he began teaching programming on the ABC-80 in the 1980s, a detail that reflects both longevity and a sustained passion for hands-on technical mentorship.
