Senior🎓
Top SchoolJohan Mynhardt is a pragmatic software development engineer with 13 years of hands-on experience building reliable backend systems, primarily in Clojure and Java, and a strong background in AWS-based cloud infrastructure and Linux operations. He spent nearly six years embedded in Cloud DevOps teams shipping infrastructure, pipelines, and production platforms, but has intentionally returned to deep engineering work focused on thoughtful design, simplicity, and long-term maintainability. Johan favors functional principles, immutability, and small composable components, and brings practical experience migrating legacy stacks to Clojure and maintaining QA automation frameworks. Based in the Western Cape, South Africa, he pairs battle-tested enterprise Java knowledge with a Lispy-language craftsmanship mindset and a penchant for “Hammock Driven Development,” finding better solutions by stepping away and returning with clarity.
