Senior🎓
Top SchoolJohanna Fulghum is a software engineer with 11 years of experience building reliable, data-driven systems for startups and mid-sized companies, currently contributing to Confiant Inc. She specializes in API development and database design, with extensive backend work in Python, microservices on AWS, and productionized scheduling and payment systems that have handled millions of transactions and millions of dollars in payments. Johanna has led full-stack features—designing APIs, UI components, and multilingual search logic—while also engineering scalable device check-in and pricing pipelines using Chalice, gRPC, Aurora/Mesos, and Laravel. Her background in economics and government analytics gives her a strong foundation in rigorous data modeling, auditing, and cost-benefit thinking that informs resilient system design. A polyglot in both human and programming languages, she pairs practical curiosity (including interest in deep learning) with a track record of shipping auditable, high-throughput services. Based in Denver, she is equally drawn to elegant frontends and robust backend architecture, and often reaches for the language—spoken, signed, or code—that best solves the problem.
