Top SchoolJohn Baker is an adaptable accounting controller and technologist with 13 years of cross-functional experience spanning software development, database/Oracle administration, and financial operations. He has built end-to-end healthcare charting and billing platforms, contributed backend improvements to an open-source Laravel mail-tracking package, and managed migrations between SQL and Oracle in multi-site healthcare environments. Combining formal accounting credentials (CAP) with hands-on IT leadership, he reliably bridges AP/AR, payroll and regulatory finance work with infrastructure, networking, and application support. Based in Abingdon, VA, he’s comfortable switching hats—from coding Node.js and PHP backends to running company-wide Avaya IP telephony and WANs—bringing pragmatic solutions and a bias for learning to every role.
