Top SchoolJohn Brosius is an Operations Research Systems Analyst with 10+ years of hands-on experience and an 18-year background in education and technical leadership, blending data science, systems engineering, and classroom instruction. He builds automated statistical tools and PySpark-backed data lakes that have driven multimillion-dollar savings and improved financial decision-making for the US Army. Experienced in R, Java, data modeling, and building dynamic APIs, he translates complex stakeholder needs into actionable requirements and repeatable analytics. As an adjunct data science professor and former K–12 computer science teacher and robotics coach, he pairs technical depth with practical pedagogy that accelerates team capability. Less obvious: he has a track record of extracting hard-to-access datasets (including Java applet scraping) and turning them into interactive tools and geospatial Shiny apps that expose operational weaknesses to senior leaders.
