Top SchoolJohn Dovey is a versatile private consultant and operator with 11 years in IT and publishing combined with 33 years of military service and post-conflict contracting experience. He built and ran a print-on-demand publishing company focused on South African stories, honing skills in cover design, book and magazine layout, and low-capital publishing models. Based in Pedasí, Panama, he now operates a hostel and provides ad hoc personal security and protection services, blending hospitality entrepreneurship with practical PSD/PSO experience. His background as an Assistant Director (IT) at a university library and early programming roles gives him a rare mix of systems literacy and hands-on production skills. Not immediately obvious is his track record of turning marginally commercial manuscripts into published works through creative use of print-on-demand, demonstrating both operational resourcefulness and a commitment to preserving local voices.
