Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolJohn Farmer is a full stack developer with 10 years of professional experience building data-heavy web applications and BI tooling, now working independently from Mexico City. He has deep experience across PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel), React, and relational databases from long tenure at Acronym and earlier entrepreneurial work building ManyLeagues.com. His background in mathematics and years teaching algebra and calculus inform a pragmatic, data-driven approach to architecture and problem solving, and he has blended Python into curricula and projects. Comfortable owning projects end-to-end, he combines systems-level thinking from early sysadmin and research roles with hands-on product delivery for large clients. Notably, he has moved between consultancy, product ownership, and engineering roles, which gives him a rare mix of client-facing communication and implementation grit.
