Top SchoolJohn Fontalvo is a Full Stack Engineer with nine years of experience building robust web and distributed systems across startups and big tech. He specializes in TypeScript/JavaScript stacks (Node.js, React) and has practical backend experience with Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, Postgres, and cloud-native tooling on AWS and Azure. At Microsoft he helped reclaim 50+ petabytes by improving load-balancing drains and observability, and at Jüsto he streamlined product reception APIs and cross-microservice notifications to keep inventory accurate. He combines hands-on coding with strong monitoring practice using Grafana and Kibana, and has shipped features that drove measurable business outcomes (e.g., 2,300+ insurance sales in two months at a prior employer). Now based in Germany and currently at Information Design, he enjoys optimizing processes and making complex systems more observable and reliable. Colleagues know him for translating operational pain points into pragmatic, production-ready solutions.
