Top SchoolJohn Gilhuly is a seasoned technology leader with 11 years of experience building and scaling developer-focused teams and products, currently serving as Regional Director of Field Engineering at Cursor. He moved from hands-on engineering and mobile integrations at Branch—where he helped over half of the top 200 US apps open links directly into content—into leadership roles that blend technical strategy, developer relations, and go-to-market execution. At Branch he grew and professionalized a global post-sales engineering organization, improving engagement and cutting implementation delays, and later led developer relations and AI evaluation work at Arize AI and early-stage GTM at Slingshot AI. An MBA from Stanford GSB complements his deep technical roots (BS in Computer Science from Duke), giving him both product instincts and operational rigor. He’s known for making complex systems feel invisible to users—building beautifully simple consumer tech—and for pairing data-driven team processes with hands-on mentoring. Based in New York, he often operates at the intersection of developer experience, AI tooling, and customer-facing engineering.
