Top SchoolJohn Mcmahon is a founder and CEO with 11+ years of hands‑on software engineering and AI platform architecture experience, currently building Valkyr Labs to deliver production-grade agent workflows, code generation, and developer tooling. He blends staff/principal-level systems design with operator sensibilities—emphasizing orchestration, context management, guardrails, evaluation loops, and human-in-the-loop automation to make fast-moving AI systems reliable and cost-effective. Prior roles include shipping rapid, scalable products at Dolby (browser-based Atmos mixer, zero-downtime billing migrations) and founding multiple startups that produced commercial SDKs, SaaS code generators, and open-source spreadsheet libraries. He has repeatedly driven lean, highly automated ventures where technical depth and execution discipline trump organizational overhead. Based in Corte Madera, he pairs broad full‑stack fluency (cloud, streaming ETL, mobile, backend services) with a founder’s knack for turning prototypes into revenue-generating products. An interesting through-line: he often delivers complex first versions in weeks, not months, by combining code generation, CI/CD, and pragmatic validation strategies.
