Summary
👤
SeniorJohn Mullanaphy is a Senior Principal Software Engineer with 12 years of experience building developer-friendly systems and accelerating feature delivery at impact.com. He combines hands-on full-stack engineering with a knack for improving codebases so new teammates can contribute from day one, and has progressed through technical leadership roles while scaling tracking and infrastructure. An avid tinkerer and amateur content creator, John uses personal projects—like a React real-time chess stream overlay and a Python/Django-powered webcomic—to explore languages and integrate engineering with his hobbies. Based in New Jersey, he also co-founded esports and community ventures, bringing product-minded engineering to streaming and game development. Notably, he’s language-agnostic in practice, favoring pragmatic tradeoffs over allegiance and often choosing tools that help get creative content into the world.
