John Plummer
Head Of Engineering at Boundless by CSMA
Brighton, England, United Kingdom
Summary
👤
SeniorJohn Plummer is a seasoned engineering leader with 15 years of experience building high-performing, remote-friendly teams and scalable production platforms. As Head of Engineering he has driven measurable outcomes—boosting team engagement from 4.4 to 6.8, cutting agent queue time by 40%, and helping scale a Care Tech org from 6 to 45 engineers. He has led platform efforts serving tens of millions of daily events (70M badge displays at Reevoo), delivered major cost-saving migrations, and owned engineering without a CTO overhead. A pragmatic collaborator, he listens first, then creates structure and tooling that lets engineers focus on impact; he also brings founder instincts from two startups (one acquired). Based in Brighton, he combines hands-on delivery across backend and tooling with a talent for onboarding and growing engineering managers.
